This website was created for a start-up company in the Energy Storage industry that needed to pitch to early-stage investors. For content development, the first step was to review abundant business and engineering information from the client. Then, key ideas were converted into succinct copy language appropriate for digital, and for engaging interest. The copy also had to work in sync with the custom illustrations. DeZaldo Communications focused on the technology’s innovation and advantages within the energy storage market, as well as on distinct applications within different energy demand scenarios.

The client, a recognized leader in Information Architecture, wanted an ebook to introduce and explain the complex process for achieving a personalized ecommerce experience. Part of the challenge for companies was needing to gather input from team members in many different business areas. Instead of speaking to seasoned IA professionals, this piece needed to help a broader audience understand the basic ideas of product data organization, and why success in marketing and selling products online depended on the coordinated efforts across departments. The copy originally created by 4 authors was re-written in a cohesive tone and style for the intended audience and to explain what was described graphically in the ebook’s custom process illustrations.

The client was a newly formed company in the Aviation Ground Support Equipment industry that needed premium marketing media for its fleet management technology product. DeZaldo Communications created a branded ebook first, with content direction and copy developed from a mix of existing marketing information and industry competitor research. Next, a companion explainer video was produced by leveraging concepts and visual media from the ebook, and also by designing and selecting additional assets for the video production. Both the ebook and product video were used on the client’s website and in Hubspot inbound marketing campaigns.

This education non-profit, established in 1986 and funded by Montgomery County Public Schools MD, needed a new brand and website in 2015 to transition to connecting digitally with parents, students, and the community. Through the school year ending in 2020, DeZaldo Communications created and continually updated the website, established and managed all of the organization’s online platforms, and designed and implemented its visually branded digital campaigns. Information and digital access was required by the organization to reach stakeholders and for online program registrations, donations, and updates to contact databases.

SCIENCE AND ENERGY PARK DESIGN AND MEDIA

EVERGY (formerly Westar Energy) 

On-site educational signage

These large-scale educational signs were designed as part of a full site feasibility plan for an outdoor exhibit about electricity and energy. The client, a regional electric utility, was building a new substation and had partnered with the Topeka KS school system to create a science and education destination for students and the community. The signs, measuring 7 feet by 5 feet, visually coordinate with the color-coded substation equipment and are placed at strategic locations. The graphic and written content of the signage work together to help visitors visualize the inner workings of the equipment and provide perspective about the substation’s role in the extended power network. Additional information explains the basics of electricity, as well as introduces the public to careers in the electric utility industry.
